1 Peter 2:10

10 Once you were not a people, but now you are God’s people; once you had not
received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

This verse tells us of the results of our salvation. Before being joined together by Christ, the body of believers was not a people, but now we belong to God. We had not received mercy, we were under the law, but now we have mercy, the law of liberty.
